Charity events including Let Me Help You were held by Ningbo Charity Federation to raise money for vulnerable groups including children living in difficult circumstances, the very elderly and people with disabilities. 8.992 million yuan were raised in the annual donation activities held by Ningbo in 2016, during which, the staff of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical, fully motivated by its Branch of Ningbo Charity Federation, donated a record 716.8 thousand yuan. The Federation has also done a good job in receiving donations, which reached 5.451 million yuan in 2016. A donor called Zhao Yi made five donations which was 249.995 thousand yuan in total; Yang Xiankang from Taiwan donated 20 thousand yuan; a Mr. Lin donated 1.5 million yuan; an anonymous donor who called himself let it be donated 910 thousand yuan, making his donations amount to 8.59 million yuan. A Mr. Hu from Fenghua who now lives in Shanghai has donated 600 thousand yuan in the past 4 years to the children and the elderly who live in bad conditions in his hometown.
