Chinese tv stations pick up more talpa formats

Dating In The Dark' and Sing It' travel east:
CHINESE TV STATIONS PICK UP MORE TALPA FORMATS
Talpa's international hit format Dating In The Dark' will air on Chinese Guangdong TV as from late spring this year. The station, covering the densely populated Guangdong and Guangxi provinces in Southern China, will produce 13 episodes in house. At the same time the general entertainment channel from Shanghai, Dragon TV, will start with 26 episodes of Sing It', one of Talpa's musical formats.
The commissions for Dating In The Dark' and Sing It' were brokered by IPCN, a UK/ Shanghai based independent media and entertainment rights company. Two years ago this agency helped place Talpa's other success format I Love My Country' with Sichuan TV in a series of 52 episodes, which was at that time the longest ever Chinese commission for a European television format.
Dating In The Dark' is already on air in over 20 countries, both as a format and as a finished series. Recent deals were closed with RTL in Germany, Mega in Chile and 1+1 in the Ukraine. Living in the UK also commissioned a third series.
Can you fall madly in love with someone you've spoken to, smelt, felt, maybe even tasted but who you have never seen? That's the main question on Dating In The Dark'. And if so, what happens when you finally do fall in love? When it comes down to it: do you see more in absolute darkness?
Key in the Sing It' format is the fact that music can make a message really special. Declarations of love, regrets, confessions or just a simple thank you. On Sing It' ordinary men and women get the chance to express their feelings... in a song. Based on a famous tune with specially written lyrics, people can let it all out. Because if you can't say it, sing it. Recent deals for Sing It' were closed in The Middle East, Russia, the Ukraine, Mexico and Kazakhstan.
