Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels Becomes Deputy CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG Dr. Ralf Schremper assumes newly created Chief Investment Officer position

Munich, March 26, 2014. Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels has been appointed Deputy CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and thus deputy to ProSiebenSat.1s Chief Financial Officer Axel Salzmann. Wiedenfels will assume the new function alongside his current role as CFO National & Chief Group Controller. In this role, Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels is already responsible for all Group-wide controlling and budget processes of the media group. The appointment as Deputy CFO takes effect as of April 1, 2014.

Likewise as of April 1, 2014, Dr. Ralf Schremper will assume the newly created Chief Investment Officer position. This moves investment management into even sharper strategic focus for the Group. Schremper is taking on the role in addition to his current duties as Executive Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions and CFO Digital & Adjacent. In recent years, Dr. Ralf Schremper has been responsible for important transactions such as the sale of the broadcasting operations in Northern and Eastern Europe and the Benelux countries. At the same time, he expedited the strategic expansion of the digital and production portfolio as an international expert in mergers and acquisitions.

Dr. Ralf Schremper is one of the most accomplished financial experts in the industry and has massively accelerated the ProSiebenSat.1 Groups growth from acquisitions in recent years. He is chiefly responsible for the successful expansion of our digital and production portfolio. As Chief Investment Officer, he will continue to successfully steer our Group toward growth.

Before Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels (36) joined the ProSiebenSat.1 Group in 2009, he worked for six years as a management consultant and engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. At ProSiebenSat.1, he first worked in the Executive Boards Strategy division. From March 2010 to November 2011, he was responsible for Group-wide budget planning, budget controlling, and management reporting as Deputy Group Controller. From February 2011, he also had commercial responsibility for the Groups German-speaking free TV segment as CFO National. In 2012, he was also appointed to the management of TV Deutschland GmbH and named Chief Group Controller.

Until 2009, Dr. Ralf Schremper (41) worked for Bertelsmann AG, where he most recently headed corporate development. Since 2010, he has been Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at ProSiebenSat.1. In addition, in 2011 he was first Head of Group Controlling and then CFO and Managing Director of the Red Arrow Entertainment Group. At the end of 2012, he took on the role of CFO and Managing Director of Digital & Adjacent in addition to his M&A activities.
