Hero Dad, one of the first series of animation in real time with Unity, is produced in Valencia La serie de animaci n 3D, que emplea el motor de videojuegos Unity, est dirigida por Maxi Valero y Nathalie Mart nez y se produce en Wise Blue Studios, Paterna, en coproducci n con Punt M dia.
Valencia est viviendo un caso de xito pionero de la que, a todas luces, es la tendencia en un futuro inmediato hacia una confluencia y transversalidad a n mayores de los sectores de la animaci n y los videojuegos y sus respectivas tecnolog as. Wise Blue Studios, en Paterna, en coproducci n con Punt M dia y con la colaboraci n del Institut Valenci de Cultura IVC, est llevando a cabo la producci n de Hero Dad, una de las primeras series de animaci n que emplea el motor de videojuegos Unity.
La serie supone un reto t cnico al ser una de las primeras series en el mundo que se produce con el motor de Unity, que permite renderizar a 4K en tiempo real, innovando completamente en el flujo de trabajo tradicional de la animaci n por ordenador. El equipo t cnico y art stico de Wise Blue Studios ha invertido un considerable esfuerzo en I D i para implementar esta tecnolog a proveniente de la industria del videojuego, y unir lo mejor de ambos mundos.
Hero Dad nos acerca a la vida de un padre que, cuando llega a casa del trabajo, cuida de su hija de 3 a os disfraz ndose de superh roe con un ba ador, unos guantes de cocina y unas botas de agua. La serie de animaci n, concebida para preescolares de entre 2 y 6 a os, cuenta desde la comedia las aventuras de este superh roe casero, un tanto patoso, al que su hija siempre acaba rescatando, aprendiendo as por s misma la moraleja de cada cap tulo.
Esta serie de animaci n 3D, cuya primera temporada consta de 26 cap tulos de 5 minutos, est dirigida por Maxi Valero y Nathalie Mart nez.
Eficiencia y resultados art sticos Seg n comenta David Martinez, supervisor de Look Dev de la serie, o lo que es lo mismo, responsable de la imagen final de la misma, el mayor desaf o ha sido conseguir un estilo propio de series de animaci n para ni os, con tonos degradados, sombras suaves, luces difusas, y separar este tipo de imagen de lo que habitualmente estamos acostumbrados a ver en la pantalla de un videojuego . El equipo, encabezado adem s por el director de arte Pablo Mart n (Pabl n Dibuj n), se siente muy satisfecho con el resultado y confirma haber dado con la f rmula para extraer de este novedoso sistema de trabajo lo mejor, tanto en eficiencia como en resultados art sticos , a ade el production manager de la serie Juan Calabuig.
Hero Dad es una serie innovadora, desde el punto de vista tecnol gico que nos permite una versatilidad y una eficiencia inexistente hasta la fecha. Pero tambi n es una serie innovadora en la propia concepci n de la tem tica , apunta Maxi Valero, director y creador a su vez de la historia original. Nathalie Mart nez, co-directora y productora de la serie, a ade que al final, la tecnolog a es un veh culo que est al servicio de la historia, y en esta serie nos sirve para centrarnos en la vida de una familia monoparental en la que el padre cuida de la hija y ambos trabajan conjuntamente para resolver los peque os aprendizajes diarios que cada ni o y ni a viven en su d a a d a
La serie es muy s lida en su planteamiento te rico, pero sobre todo es divertida. No perdemos de vista que los ni os, especialmente a estas edades, aprenden divirti ndose. Hemos basado la did ctica de la serie en la teor a de las inteligencias m ltiples de Howard Gardner, que se reflejan en las tribulaciones diarias de esta familia desde la aventura y la comedia , contin a Maxi Valero. Adem s, la serie, al normalizar la figura del padre como cuidador de su hija, explica Nathalie Mart nez que transmite a los ni os un mensaje integrador al reflejar, desde el propio coraz n de la serie, tanto la diversidad familiar de nuestra sociedad actual, como la evoluci n y equiparaci n de los roles masculinos y femeninos en las familias contempor neas .
