Cynthia Kay and Company (CK & CO) announced today an extended submission deadline of Sept. 30, 2013 for its video contest. The contest is targeted to students in the video and multi-media arts. CK & CO, a media production and communications firm, is looking for talented and creative high-school and college students who want to get real-world experience, help their community, and get rewarded with a $1,000 scholarship. The company announced the competition on June 1, 2013. The goal is to have students produce and create a video highlighting an inspiring, non-profit organization or exemplary business.
CK & CO is committed to encouraging the next generation of creative video producers while giving back to the community and that's exactly what this contest is designed to do, said Cynthia Kay, president, CK & CO. While we've received some great applications so far, we intend to extend the deadline into the beginning of the school year to broaden our reach.

The first round of voting will be by the public and the top three vote getters will advance to the final round. The CK & CO staff will choose the winning video from the three finalists.
Timeline:
The competition officially opened June 1, 2013
The new deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2013
Voting will begin the following week
The winner will be announced in Oct. 2013
The winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. CK & CO will also award $500 to the non-profit featured in the winning student's video or if the featured organization is a business, $500 will go to the business' preferred charity.
