Advocacy group Rise has announced the winners of its annual award celebrating inspirational women and companies who are stand-out performers, innovators and leaders in the global broadcast media technology industry.

The organisation said it received over 400 nominations from around the globe, citing the talents and achievements of inspirational women working in a variety of media and broadcast technology roles.

This year's winners are:

Technical Operations Award Sponsored by NEP: Morag McIntosh, design director, studio automation, BBC

Product Innovation Award Sponsored by Clear-Com: Kate Vandy and Anna Holligan, BBC senior journalist and BBC foreign correspondent, The Bike Bureau

Business Operations Award Sponsored by Telestream: Amanda Wall, director of operations, VITAC

Student of the Year Award Sponsored by SMPTE: Sophie Humphrey, Solent University

Marketing and PR Award Sponsored by Deluxe Media: Doris Retfalvi, product marketing manager, disguise
