San Francisco, CA, November 21, 2016 VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), a premier company in the fields of publishing, animation distribution, and global entertainment licensing, adds a new way for readers to access the latest issues of WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP as it announces the launch of the popular weekly manga (graphic novel) publication on Google Play (NASDAQ: GOOG).
Previously, readers could only access WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP on the Google Play store via the VIZ Manga App or through the Android-based WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP App. Manga fans can now purchase single issues of WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP directly from Google Play/Google Books for $0.99 (USD) each. A backlist catalog offering 1 month of previously released issues will also be available.
WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP is the world's most widely read manga publication for both emerging as well as established hit series and it has helped launch scores of the genre's greatest series in the world, says Andy Nakatani, Editor-in-Chief of WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP.
