Aarau, Switzerland - 30 Oct 2012 - Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark has expanded its DAM Cloud/SaaS offerings to better meet the needs of the global organizations the Swiss DAM vendor serves. A new Cloud service tier offers prices for storage and bandwidth that can save customers as much as 70% over previous pricing.

Picturepark's current Cloud Suisse [Switzerland-based] hosting facility consistently offers unparalleled uptime and performance for our European Cloud customers, explained Picturepark CEO Ramon Forster. But with Picturepark now a global brand, it's important that we offer optimized regional Cloud performance at a more globally competitive price point.

The new US-based hosting facility offers better performance for North and South American customers because transatlantic connections aren't required. And while performance improvements are always welcomed by customers, Picturepark Director of Sales for the Americas, Hector Medina, cites cost as the more important change for his region.

We've always bested other Cloud DAM providers in terms of functionality and ease of use, he said. But now we can offer enterprise-quality Cloud DAM at a price point no other vendor can beat.

In addition to the company's two Cloud tiers, Picturepark digital asset management software is available onsite and in hybrid configurations. Onsite customers can choose either or both hosting centers for hybrid deployment. Customers can also start with a Cloud solution and move to onsite deployment anytime later.
