Minsk hosted the Fourteenth meeting of the RCC Working Group to work with the ITU on September 4, 2015 07.09.2015

On September 4, 2015 Minsk (Belarus) hosted the Fourteenth meeting of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) Working Group to work with the International Telecommunication Union.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Communications Administrations of Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia (on-line), Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova (on-line), Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, the members of the RCCTelecommunication and Infocommunications Operators Board - Head of RUE Beltelecom and the RCC Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by more than 30 representatives of the RCC Communications Administrations and other invited persons.

The invited participants were the representatives of the ITU Area Office for the CIS countries, JSC National ICT Holding Zerde (Republic of Kazakhstan), Wroc aw University of Technology (Republic of Poland), University of ilina(Slovak Republic),Huawei Training Center (Russian Federation), Alcatel - Lucent Training Center (Russian Federation).

Mr. V. Minkin, Chairman of the RCC Working Group to work with the ITU, Chief Research officer of the FSUE NIIR, presided at the meeting.

Welcoming word to the participants of the meeting on behalf of the Communications Administration of the Republic of Belarus was given by the Head of the Telecommunications Department of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization Mr. P. Petrulevich.

The Working Group began its work with the discussion of the RCC Communications Administrations preparation for the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2016 (WTSA-16) - consideration of topics of presentations for WTSA-16. A report on the contributions of the Communications Administration of the Russian Federation for WTSA-16 was made by the Head of the International Organizations Division of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of the Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Mr. A. Zhivov.

As part of the consideration of the RCC CAs preparations for the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 WTDC-17, reports were made by the Chairman of the FSUE NIIR Mr. V. Minkin and the Head of the ITU Area Office for the CIS countries Mr. O. Kaiykov.

During the meeting the information on the RCC CAs preparations for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2018 (PP-18) was presented by the Head of the International Organizations Division of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of the Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Mr. A. Zhivov.

Taking into account the timing of the ITU activities, it was decided to request the RCC Executive Committee to consider the time and place of the next meeting in the first half of 2016. The agenda of the Fifteenth meeting of the RCC Working Group to work with the ITU was approved as well.

In conclusion, the participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the Communications Administration of the Republic of Belarus, RUE Beltelecom and the RCC Executive Committee for excellent organization of the Fourteenth meeting of the RCC Working Group to work with the ITU.
