VSNMULTICOM includes new advanced features for advertising control on TV

The latest developments introduced in VSN's solution for continuity automation allow operators to have a strict control of the overall advertising broadcasted by a TV channel, registering the complete timing of all sort of adverts that may appear in the programming, even in overprinting format. This improved feature for VSNMULTICOM can be watched in action during the upcoming IBC trade show in Amsterdam. VSNMULTICOM new advertising features warns operators when advertising time is exceeding the legal limits established by each ocuntry's regulation.

VSN's robust solution for continuity automation, with more than 20 years of history in the audiovisual market, includes a new development to foster its tool for advertising management. From now on, all TV channels using VSNMULTICOM software will have access to advanced advertising functionalities to know exactly how much advertising time they are broadcasting and if it exceeds or not the legal limits established by each country's legislation.

RIn particular, the new advertising tool registers how much time has been added to the broadcasting list for advertising, including not only traditional spots, but also all types of adverts that may appear in the TV with overprinting format or any other kind (graphics, transparencies, overprints, bumpers and even promotional programs). This way, VSNMULTICOM allows to strictly monitor all the expected advertising, no matter in which format it appears, in order to automatically warn the operator in charge if the time limit for advertising is going to be exceeded, according to each country's regulation.

Furthermore, this improved functionality gives users an overview of the whole advertising broadcasted by the TV channel, as well as the specific timing dedicated to each type of advertising format, so as to establish also time limits depending on the type of advert.

Advertising is one of the most precious elements in Broadcast, both for advertisers that want to connect with their desired target, and TVs, which mostly depend on advertising to finance themselves. However, we have noticed that operators did not have available a 100% reliable tool to automatically register the TV channel's advertising and check if the legal time limits were being exceeded. Therefore, I believe this tool is going to be really helpful and useful to improve daily operations in any given TV channel', explains VSN's Product Manager, Toni Vilalta.
