Award-winning, Sydney-based VFX and animation company, Animal Logic delivered 590 shots for the luxurious Baz Luhrmann adaptation of The Great Gatsby. They have kindly loaned us Alex Fry, Lead Compositor on the show for IBC. Alex will be travelling all the way from down-under to show us how they used NUKE & OCULA on this visually beautiful and technically challenging movie.

Animal Logic

FABIO ZAVETI - Compositing Supervisor : HONDA Hands' Analog Studios

To celebrate Honda's 65 years in the engineering and manufacturing business, Analog helped create two minutes of magic. They used hands, miniature dirt bikes, jet engines, a solar powered concept car and nuts and bolts on the insanely clever Honda Hands' commercial. Fabio Zaveti was the Compositing Supervisor on this complex spot at Clerkenwell (UK) based Analog where they used NUKE, NUKE ASSIST and MARI to great effect.

STASZEK MAREK - Senior Rendering Artist : THE WITCHER 3: Wild Hunt Trailer Platige Image Award-winning, Polish 3D & Digital Effects House, Platige Image, created the newest trailer for The Witcher' games series - Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' . Staszek was the Lead Rendering Artist on the trailer, working closely with director Tomek Baginski and the team at Platige. Hear first hand from Staszek why they love NUKE and MARI at the facility and how they were used on this intense spot.

HUGO GUERRA - Head of NUKE The Mill

Hugo is Head of the NUKE department at The Mills London studio as well as being a teacher, ambassador of NUKE & HIERO and general legend who always acknowledges a Formal Friday' (come to the booth if you dont believe us). With us for the duration of the show, Hugo will be giving two separate key-note presentations as he has so much to share! Presentation number one is all about what life is like in a fast paced NUKE department where they use HIERO and NUKE from shoot to delivery on some of the fastest productions in advertising - a 1-2 week turnover. The second presentation will showcase the first live project The Mill completed alongside the VFX school Campus I12 using HIERO, NUKE and FTrack.

SEAN DEVEREAUX - VFX Supervisor : RAM Trucks Commercial Zero VFX

Sean, Co Owner at Bostons Zero VFX will hopping over the pond to show how he and his team used NUKE, HIERO & Zync together on a series of commercial spots for RAM Trucks. Hear and see first hand how Sean used NUKE & HIERO to comp, organize and editorialize all the shots whilst using Zyncs massive power to render in the cloud.

JUHANI KARLSSON & JUKKA-PEKKA LYYTINEN - Technical Director & Lead Modeller Talvi Digital

Helsinki based Juhani & Jukka-Pekka will be showing how they have been using MODO for photo realistic asset creation on a collection of projects. They will be showing how they capture HDR images using MODO, together with Agisoft, to make physically accurate textures and realistic renders.
