X-Rite to Preview New Color Formulation Software at European Coatings Show

X-Rite will demonstrate a range of color management solutions to help specify, communicate, formulate and control color quality across the entire paint and coatings workflow to help speed production and reduce waste.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 5, 2019 X-Rite Incorporated, a global leader in color science and technology, and Pantone LLC, announces it will preview a new release of its Color iMatch formulation software at the European Coatings Show, March 19-21 in Nuremburg, Germany. The new Color iMatch release will feature a next-generation formulation engine that helps accelerate color development through better matches and fewer corrections. In Hall 5, Stand 5-448, attendees can see a full range of color management for the paint and coatings industry and the latest in color matching technology for retail paint. In addition, X-Rite will present a session on color and appearance control for effect finishes commonly used in automotive, plastics, coatings.

Color iMatch Preview:This new release of X-Rite's Color iMatch formulation software will feature a next generation match engine delivering better matches with fewer corrections; a new Search and Correct algorithm that more accurately identifies candidate formulas containing the most likely colorant combinations; workflow accelerating features such as colorant optimization and performance indicators; gamut mapping; integrated formulation rules; and more.

MetaVue VS3200: For use in the lab and quality control, MetaVue VS3200 is a non-contact imaging spectrophotometer ideal for measuring difficult samples such as small and non-planar items as well as liquids, pastes, powders and gels without contaminating the instrument. The instrument's unmatched versatility and accuracy helps speed up color formulation, production color checks and quality control operations.

Ci7500 Benchtop Spectrophotometer: This reflectance sphere benchtop spectrophotometer delivers true process control for perfect color fidelity. This instrument brings the level of reliability, traceability and accuracy that customers expect in a more affordable model.

MA-T Family of Multi-Angle Imaging Spectrophotometers: The MA-T family of instruments combines color imaging and multi-angle spectral measurement to quantify color, sparkle and coarseness. This allows manufacturers and coating suppliers to more precisely define and control effect finishes in order to achieve a new level of consistency and harmony across adjacent parts.

PantoneLIVE Production Plastic, Coatings and Textile: A cloud-based digital standard ecosystem, PantoneLIVE provides plastics, coatings and textile industries with the official spectral color data from the Pantone Matching System (PMS) for plastics and coatings.
