Immersive Live is EVS' vision for the viewing experience of the future, where consumers can use any screen to engage with live content including UHD-4K, 360 degree, augmented and contextual replays. To shape this new viewing experience, EVS has developed an ecosystem of Connected Live technology and Creative Live tools.

Immersive Live With the ultimate objective of offering today's audiences a totally new and immersive viewing experience, EVS continues its journey to exceed the latest market requirements with its Connected Live ecosystem - integrating advanced live media workflows and IP-based production infrastructures - and Creative Live toolsets and models that push the limits of live storytelling.

Live Production Servers Ready for Future 4K and IP Operations EVS' XT4K and XS4K now offer flexible connectivity - 12G-SDI on a single wire, quad-link 3G-SDI and native IP - as well as increased channel density in UHD-4K, HD and 1080p. The XT4K server was displayed in both the 39 Flex truck from Mobile TV Group and the Columbus truck from Gearhouse Broadcast in the NAB exhibition area.

Connecting Venues to Broadcast Centers EVS deployed its new Connected Live infrastructure enabled by the new Connected Agent hardware for instant media access and exchanges between mobile production units, the stadium venue and the broadcaster center for truly collaborative production. The leader in live video production technology also introduced its latest web-based browsing tools IPWeb and Xplore - designed to give production teams access to live media assets while working remotely - all enabled by the C-Next cloud-based monitoring solution that guarantees full control of IP-based file exchange between all sites.

Reducing the Gap Between Live and Post Production EVS introduced IPLink for Avid during this year's NAB Show. This new connector enables MediaCentral UX users to access live media assets from the EVS live production tools like IPDirector, so that they spend less time searching and more time creating.

Preparing for the Next IP Generation EVS unveiled BCIP, a new IP routing software application for live media production that delivers advanced control and monitoring of all IP flows and based on SDN methods for any future live IP fabric. Expanding EVS Software Defined Solutions and Applications EVS' video switcher DYVI was presented with its advanced and flexible architecture, relying on stackable, software-defined processing modules - up to 32 in/16 out per PM - and its contextual panels enabling a unique level of creativity for any type of live events, from studio operations to gameday entertainment.

Building on a software-defined foundation that has been used for DYVI and the video assistant referee Xeebra, EVS introduced a couple of new applications in this category. A unified, six-camera production system designed for a single operator for switching, replay and contextual content execution and an innovative 360 motion replay solution offering unmatched perspectives for live replays.

New Connected Live Demo Tour After its successful inauguration at the Alliance Productions' NAB party, the new EVS Connected Live truck hits the road for a coast-to-coast tour. Short videos and pictures of the tour will be posted soon on EVS' Instagram account.
