After releasing a successful debut album in October 2021, Young Stunna has more to celebrate. The amapiano star recently bagged a nomination for the Viewer's Choice: Best New International Act Award at the BET Awards set to take place on 27 June. This comes after the Adiwele hitmaker scored four nominations at the South African Music Awards (Samas), earlier this month.

YOUNG STUNNA BAGS BET NOD Yung Stunna received rave reviews following the release of his debut album, Notumato, in 2021. The album featured the likes of Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Mellow & Sleazy, Black Motion and Big Zulu.

The 24-year-old amapiano star is nominated for the Viewer's Choice: Best New International Act Award alongside Nigeria's Ayra Starr and Pheelz, UK's Cleo Sol and Digga D, French artists Guy2Bezbar and SDM and Brazilian rapper MD Chefe.

The BET Awards are set to be hosted by American actress Taraji P Henson and will take place on 27 June.

-- SAMA NOMINATIONS The nominations for the 28th annual Samas were announced on 7 June and Young Stunna is one of the frontrunners for an award with four nods.

The amapiano star's chart-topping track Adiwele is nominated for Record of The Year. Young Stunna also scored a nomination in the same category for Bopha, a collaboration between him, Mellow & Sleazy, Felo Le Tee and DJ Maphorisa.

Young Stunna is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Amapiano Album.
