Harry & Meghan': Netflix's biggest docuseries debut [watch]Netflix has revealed that the first part of Harry and Meghan' racked up 81.55m viewing hours around the world.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary series titled Harry & Meghan is the most-watched docuseries on Netflix upon debut.

According to The Guardian, the giant streaming platform announced on Tuesday 13 December that the first three episodes about the life of the royals racked up 81.55 million viewing hours.

MORE THAN 28 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS WATCHED THE ROYALS Netflix revealed that no other documentary has racked up that many viewing hours in its first week. This is after the three episodes of Harry & Meghan aired last Thursday, 8 December, recording 81.55 million viewing hours around the world.

The highest view hours of any documentary title in a premiere week, Netflix said, adding that more than 28 million households watched at least part of the series.

In addition, Harry & Meghan debuted at number two on Netflix's English-language TV charts and appears in the Top 10 in 85 countries between 5 and 11 December.

The royals only come second to Addams Family drama Wednesday which is still dominating the Netflix charts. For the week of 5 to 11 December, the Jenna Ortega-led series added another 269.67 million hours viewed and took first place in 90 countries.

HARRY & MEGHAN' PART TWO According to The Gaurdian, the royal couple were paid between $100 million (R1.7 billion) and $150 million (R2.6 billion) by Netflix.

Part two of three Harry & Meghan episodes will be released on Netflix on Thursday 15 December. In those episodes, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will delve into their decision to step away from royal duties as they have claimed that racism was a major part.

In the part two trailer, clips of the couple's wedding are played alongside news footage and newspaper headlines about their love-life.

I wonder what would have happened to us if we hadn't got out when we did? Harry asks in the trailer. While Meghan adds: Our security was being pulled, everyone in the world knew where we were.
