20th Century Fox, Panasonic and Samsung continue advancing in the implementation of HDR10 technologyLa plataforma HDR10 estar pronto disponible, libre de derechos y con una tarifa administrativa nominal para empresas de contenido, televisores UHD, reproductores/grabadores de discos Blu-ray y fabricantes de descodificadores, as como proveedores SoC.
Coincidiendo con la antesala de CES 2018, 20th Century Fox, Panasonic and Samsung Electronics han anunciado novedades en el programa de certificaci n y en el sello de la plataforma abierta y gratuita para HDR (High Dynamic Range) llamada HDR10 que anunciaron inicialmente el a o pasado en IFA.
La plataforma HDR10 estar pronto disponible, libre de derechos y con una tarifa administrativa nominal para empresas de contenido, televisores de ultra alta definici n, reproductores/grabadores de discos Blu-ray y fabricantes de descodificadores, as como proveedores SoC (system on chip). Las empresas pueden conocer el nuevo sello, informarse sobre el programa de licencias -incluidas las especificaciones finales y los acuerdos de adopci n- y suscribirse para recibir una notificaci n cuando las especificaciones t cnicas del HDR10 est n disponibles visitando esta Web. Adem s, las herramientas de generaci n de metadatos Ultra HD Blu-ray se han desarrollado con terceros y estar n disponibles muy pronto para los creadores de contenido. De este modo los reproductores de Blu-ray Ultra HD podr n entrar en el mercado. En breve tambi n se publicar n detalles sobre la transferencia de contenidos y el formato de la interfaz para el canal de creaci n de contenidos.
HDR10 ofrecer a los espectadores una experiencia HDR de primera calidad a trav s de un programa de certificaci n de dispositivos que garantice una representaci n precisa de la intenci n creativa plasmada en el contenido. Adem s las mejoras en el flujo de trabajo para los creadores de contenido, fomentar n una mayor producci n de contenido HDR premium.
El programa de licencias HDR10 proporcionar a las empresas interesadas las especificaciones t cnicas y de validaci n necesarias para implementar la tecnolog a HDR10 , de tal forma que se mantenga la alta calidad de la imagen y a la vez se ofrezca a cada fabricante la posibilidad de aplicar un mapeo de tonos din mico de forma innovadora. El programa de certificaci n asegurar que los productos compatibles con HDR10 ofrezcan la mejor calidad de imagen y respeten la intenci n creativa de los directores y cinemat grafos. Un producto certificado con el logotipo HDR10 garantiza que el producto ofrece una excelente calidad de imagen.
Este programa de licencias ofrecer ventajas para los fabricantes de dispositivos (por ejemplo TV, Blu-ray Ultra HD, OTT STB, etc.), para proveedores de servicios de distribuci n de contenidos, fabricantes de SoC, editores de contenidos y proveedores de herramientas para la creaci n de contenidos.
Es de destacar que no habr canon por unidad sino una cuota anual nominal para los fabricantes de dispositivos, fabricantes de SoC y proveedores de servicios de distribuci n de contenidos.
El programa prev tambi n especificaciones t cnicas y de validaci n, logotipo/gu a para el logotipo HDR10 , as como patentes de las tres empresas directamente relacionadas con la especificaci n t cnica y con la especificaci n para validaci n.
La certificaci n de los dispositivos ser realizada por un tercero a trav s de un centro de pruebas autorizado.
Una vez abierto el programa de licencias HDR10 las tres compa as fundadoras incorporar n las tecnolog as HDR10 en todos los futuros lanzamientos de pel culas en Ultra HD (UHD), en determinados televisores, en reproductores/grabadoras de Blu-ray Ultra HD y en otros productos.
Estandarizaci n del proceso de licencias
Danny Kaye, vicepresidente ejecutivo de 20th Century Fox y director gerente del laboratorio de innovaci n Fox, ha asegurado que ha sido importante para nosotros crear un sistema flexible y abierto que ofrezca al espectador una experiencia de visualizaci n mucho m s pr xima a la intenci n creativa de su autor. Junto con Samsung y Panasonic nuestro objetivo es estandarizar el proceso de licencias para que los socios, incluyendo a los creadores de contenidos y fabricantes de televisores y dispositivos, puedan incorporar esta tecnolog a y llevar esta mejora de la experiencia de visualizaci n a todo el p blico .
El apoyo al HDR10 sigue aumentando y las empresas est n deseando aplicar el programa de especificaciones y de certificaci n 3C. M s de 25 empresas que abarcan muchas industrias diferentes han expresado un gran inter s en apoyar la plataforma HDR10 , reforzando todav a m s su camino hacia el xito.
Amazon Prime Video, el primer proveedor de servicios de streaming en adoptar HDR10 , ha hecho que toda la biblioteca HDR del servicio Prime Video est disponible en HDR10 a nivel mundial. El cat logo de Prime Video HDR10 incluye cientos de horas de contenido propio (Prime Originals) como The Grand Tour, nominado al Globlo de Oro; The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jean-Claude Van Johnson, The Tick and The Man in the High Castle, adem s de cientos de t tulos que emite licenciados.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment apoyar HDR10 como soluci n para implementar metadatos din micos para el contenido de Warner Bros a Samsung, Panasonic y otros televisores HDR 4K con capacidad HDR10 .
