Non-Fiction and Technical SAFTA 2014 winners --

SCREEN AFRICA EXCLUSIVE: The South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) announced the winners in the Non-Fiction and Technical categories on Friday 4 April at a gala event held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand.
Anant Singh s Long Walk to Freedom took home three SAFTAs for Best Make-up / Hair, Best Costume Designer and Best Production Design in the Feature Film category.
Another prominent winner was The Wild which won three awards in the TV Soap category for Best Art Direction, Best Editor and Best DOP / Cinematographer.
In the Feature Film category director Jahmil X.T. Qubeka s Of Good Report won an award for Best Editor while animated feature film Khumba from Cape Town-based Triggerfish Animation Studios won the award for Best Music Composition by Bruce Retief.
Johannesburg-based production company Rous Hous High Rollers won two awards in the TV Drama category for Best Make-up and Hair Stylist, and Best Costume Design.
In the Wildlife category Touching the Dragon won two SAFTAs for Best Wildlife Programme and Best Director of a Wildlife Programme.
With careers spanning more than three decades dedicated to conservation in Africa, internationally recognised and revered wildlife filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
