Newly integrated system provides all the resources needed for efficient scheduling and automated transmission of Hayat TVs five high-definition channels

PlayBox Neo, a leading provider of media channel branding and playout solutions, announces the completion of a major expansion for Hayat TV. The new installation includes two Capture Suite ingest systems and 10 Channel-in-a-Box systems assigned to playout of five high definition channels. The project was supervised by PBT Adria, PlayBox Neos distribution partner for the eastern Adriatic region.

Established in 1992, Hayat TV is an independently-owned television network broadcasting from its headquarters in Vogo a, Sarajevo, to over 1.5 million people in Bosnia as well as cable subscribers in neighboring countries. It is also accessible across Europe through the EutelSat16 satellite. The networks name is from the Arabic word for life.

The newly integrated Capture Suite enables Hayat TV to speed up the context ingest process for all five of its channels, adds Vladimir Stani , PBT Adrias General Manager. These are transmitted in 1080i/50 high definition, each channel being equipped with a dedicated AirBox Neo-20 server as the playout primary plus a fully redundant secondary server to ensure continuity in the extremely rare event of an on-air failure. We also integrated PBT Adria Traffic Box traffic management software which is used for program rights handling, scheduling and EPG deployment.

PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box is a turnkey playout system based on the AirBox Neo-20 server and a range of optional software modules. Available in HD or UHD versions, it provides the resources needed to keep one or more channels on-air. The available toolset includes scheduling, titling, teleprompt feeds, interactive graphics, SDI-based play-to-air and IP streaming. Tools can be configured to enhance quality control, list and content preparation, and multiscreen monitoring. The system is suitable for a variety of applications including traditional broadcast TV, pay-TV, playout centers and satellite network operators.

Capture Suite gives ingest staff the resources they need to handle multiple incoming content feeds rapidly and without stress. Tasks such as input selection, ingest presets, file-naming rules, assignments and auto-transfer can also be performed quickly and easily from a single graphic interface. The integral multiviewer includes automated black-frame and frozen-frame alarms. Capture Suite also provides audio loudness monitoring as well as manual, scheduled and compliance ingest modes with automated input switching. Content can be edited before the ingest process completes, with obvious advantages for time-critical news channels. MXF and TS files are available for immediate playout via AirBox Neo-20 automation, again without having to wait for the ingest process to complete.
