Apple lanzar en diciembre su nuevo Mac Pro Dise ado en torno a un innovador n cleo t rmico unificado, el Mac Pro integra los ltimos procesadores Xeon de Intel de hasta 12 n cleos, dos GPU de gran rendimiento, seis puertos Thunderbolt 2, almacenamiento flash basado en PCIe y memoria ECC ultrarr pida.
Apple redefine su l nea de ordenadores profesionales con el lanzamiento del nuevo Mac Pro. Dise ado en torno a un innovador n cleo t rmico unificado, el Mac Pro integra los ltimos procesadores Xeon de Intel de hasta 12 n cleos, dos GPU de gran rendimiento, seis puertos Thunderbolt 2, almacenamiento flash basado en PCIe y memoria ECC ultrarr pida.
Philip Schiller, vicepresidente s nior de Marketing Mundial de Apple, ha asegurado que el nuevo Mac Pro representa nuestra visi n del futuro del ordenador profesional, lo hemos ha reinventado de arriba abajo. Nunca se ha visto nada igual. El nuevo Mac Pro viene con procesadores Xeon de hasta 12 n cleos, dos GPU FirePro, memoria ECC ultrarr pida, posibilidades de ampliaci n gracias a Thunderbolt 2 y mucho m s en un dise o radicalmente nuevo que ocupa una octava parte que la generaci n anterior de Mac Pro .
El Mac Pro supone una revoluci n para los ordenadores profesionales de sobremesa en cuanto a dise o y rendimiento: solo hay que ver a rapidez asombrosa de DaVinci Resolve y la captura de v deo en tiempo real con UltraStudio 4K , comenta Grant Petty, consejero delegado de Blackmagic Design.
Las dos GPUs de estaci n de trabajo del Mac Pro han multiplicado por cinco la velocidad de MARI, creando una experiencia pict rica incre blemente fluida y totalmente in dita. Este tipo de rendimiento es un sue o hecho realidad para los artistas digitales , ha apuntado Bill Collins, consejero delegado de The Foundry.
El nuevo Mac Pro, que saldr a la venta en diciembre, se ha dise ado en torno a un n cleo t rmico unificado que permite al equipo compartir de forma eficiente su capacidad t rmica entre todos los procesadores. El revolucionario ventilador es tan eficiente que el nuevo Mac Pro es tan silencioso como el Mac mini. El resultado es un ordenador de sobremesa profesional con un rendimiento sin precedentes en un dise o que solo mide 25,15 cm de alto y ocupa una octava parte que el modelo de Mac Pro anterior.
Redise ado en todos los sentidos, el Mac Pro se ha dise ado para hacer frente a los trabajos m s exigentes. El nuevo Mac Pro incorpora procesadores Xeon de Intel con 4, 6, 8 o 12 n cleos a velocidades Turbo Boost de hasta 3,9 GHz que ofrecen el doble de rendimiento en operaciones de coma flotante que la generaci n anterior de Mac Pro. Las dos GPU de estaci n de trabajo FirePro de AMD de hasta 12 GB de memoria de v deo ofrecen hasta 7 teraflops de potencia y hasta ocho veces el rendimiento gr fico de la generaci n anterior de Mac Pro. OpenGL y OpenCL se han optimizado en OS X Mavericks para aprovechar la potencia de la CPU del Mac Pro y las dos GPU.
El nuevo Mac Pro tambi n incorpora almacenamiento flash basado en PCIe que ofrece velocidades de lectura secuenciales de hasta 1,2 Gb/s, es decir, hasta 10 veces m s r pido que los discos duros convencionales. Con la memoria DDR3 ECC de cuatro canales con velocidades de hasta 1.866 MHz, el nuevo Mac Pro ofrece un ancho de banda de memoria de hasta 60 Gb/s, duplicando el de la generaci n anterior de Mac Pro. La espectacular potencia y el ancho de banda del Mac Pro permite editar v deo con resoluci n 4K y reproducirlo en tiempo real.
Con seis puertos Thunderbolt 2 que ofrecen velocidades de transferencia de datos de hasta 20 Gb/s para cada dispositivo externo, el Mac Pro ha redefinido las posibilidades de ampliaci n de un ordenador de sobremesa. Cada uno de los seis puertos Thunderbolt 2 admite hasta seis dispositivos conectados en cadena, lo que significa que el usuario puede conectar hasta 36 dispositivos de alto rendimiento: desde dispositivos de almacenamiento externos a varias tarjetas de expansi n PCI pasando por cajas de conexi n de audio y v deo. La tecnolog a Thunderbolt 2 utiliza los cables de cobre y cables pticos de Thunderbolt existentes y es totalmente compatible con los perif ricos y cables Thunderbolt anteriores, asimismo funciona con los monitores 4K de ltima generaci n. La nueva prestaci n de software de IP autoconfigurablecon software Thunderbolt en OS X Mavericks permite conectar r pidamente ordenadores Mac con Thunderbolt.
El nuevo Mac Pro ofrece una potencia sin rival para las apps profesionales de Apple como Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X y Aperture. Final Cut Pro X se ha optimizado para las dos GPU para mejorar el rendimiento en la reproducci n en tiempo real, renderizaci n m s r pida, exportaci n m s veloz y monitorizaci n de v deo en 4K a trav s de Thunderbolt 2 y HDMI. El almacenamiento flash permite importar y exportar im genes en alta resoluci n m s r pido con Aperture. Logic Pro X aprovecha el almacenamiento flash para conseguir tiempos asombrosamente r pidos y emplea Thunderbolt 2 para ofrecer un gran n mero de canales de audio de entrada y salida de latencia ultrabajos sin recurrir a tarjetas PCI.
El nuevo Mac Pro viene con OS X Mavericks de serie. Mavericks es la d cima versi n del sistema operativo m s avanzado del mundo y est disponible de manera gratuita en la Mac App Store. Junto con m s de 200 prestaciones nuevas, Mavericks introduce prestaciones como Pesta as y Etiquetas del Finder y soporte multipantalla mejorado y nuevas tecnolog as clave para lograr un rendimiento impresionante como Compressed Memory para que tu Mac lo haga todo m s r pido y fluido. Mavericks tambi n mejora de manera significativa el rendimiento de sistemas con dos GPU al optimizar OpenGL y OpenCL.
