3 Mills Studios has secured a partnership with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) which will see the East London film and TV studio become directly involved in many of BAFTA's initiatives throughout the year. 3 Mills Studios will support a number of events including award sponsorship of the Director: Fiction category at the British Academy Television Craft Awards.
Demonstrating 3 Mills' commitment to its involvement in the British film and TV sector, the studio will also support BAFTA with next year's Film Craft: The Sessions and Television Craft: The Sessions; two days of talks, Q&As and discussions.
3 Mills Studios continues to facilitate great British independent film and high-end TV drama productions and we pride ourselves in helping industry professionals create something special for our screens, said Tom Avison (pictured), head of Studios, 3 Mills Studios. In partnering with BAFTA on its Craft Sessions and the British Academy Television Craft Awards we will be recognising and highlighting the work of those behind the camera and helping the charity fulfil its remit to support, promote and develop the art forms of the moving image. This new relationship with BAFTA adds to 3 Mills' current and ongoing partnerships including the recently-announced Gold partnership with the British Film Commission and Major Award sponsorship of BIFA. Other partnerships include The East End Film Festival, where 3 Mills is the title sponsor of their Mind The Gap industry programme, The Production Guild of Great Britain, the UK Screen Association and Film London.
