Este a o, las demostraciones del DVB en IBC reflejan las diversas actividades del consorcio. En lo que respecta a los est ndares relacionados con las retransmisiones, DVB ha logrado un hito muy importante al finalizar la especificaci n para las funciones UHD avanzadas High Dynamic Range (HDR), Higher Frame Rate (HFR) y Next Generation Audio (NGA) hace diez meses. Este conjunto de funciones, combinado con una resoluci n 4K y un espacio de color m s amplio, supone un gran avance en la calidad de audio y v deo. Mientras por un lado la combinaci n de todos estos elementos aportar la mejor calidad de la experiencia, tambi n pueden lograrse buenos resultados combinando las nuevas funciones avanzadas con resoluci n 1080p HD. Se trata de una combinaci n muy atractiva para redes con capacidad limitada como la televisi n digital terrestre (TDT).

Incrementar los ingresos por publicidad ofreciendo publicidad dirigida es un aspecto importante para las cadenas de TV y los operadores de redes. DVB est analizando en estos momentos c mo se adaptan las soluciones de publicidad dirigida a un entorno de retransmisi n y c mo pueden mejorarse. Esta actividad se realiza en estrecha cooperaci n con HbbTV.
Funciones UHD avanzadas
DVB ha logrado un hito muy importante al finalizar TS 101 154, la especificaci n de las funciones UHD avanzadas de High Dynamic Range (HDR), Higher Frame Rate (HFR) y Next Generation Audio (NGA). Este conjunto de funciones, combinado con una resoluci n 4K y un espacio de color m s amplio, supone un gran avance en la calidad de audio y v deo. Mientras por un lado la combinaci n de todos estos elementos aportar la mejor calidad de la experiencia, tambi n pueden lograrse buenos resultados combinando las nuevas funciones avanzadas con resoluci n 1080p HD. Se trata de una combinaci n muy atractiva para redes con capacidad limitada como la televisi n digital terrestre (TDT), tal y como se muestra en el stand, donde se han preparado varias videosecuencias en resoluci n HD (1080p) progresiva. Las secuencias permiten una comparaci n inmediata entre HDR y SDR, as como HFR (100 Hz) y SFR (50 Hz) simplemente cambiando de un servicio a otro. Las se ales utilizan modulaci n de DVB-T2 y son recibidas por el aire por una TV equipada con un prototipo del software HFR.
Acuerdo con SAT>IP Alliance
Otro aspecto importante es la distribuci n en los hogares de contenido de retransmisi n a trav s de las redes IP de los hogares. Hace solo unas semanas, DVB y la SAT>IP Alliance han llegado a un acuerdo de colaboraci n. DVB se encargar de desarrollar futuras versiones de la especificaci n SAT>IP. La promoci n ser un esfuerzo combinado de ambas empresas. En el stand, se transmiten m ltiples canales HDTV a trav s de un nico multiplexor DVB-T2 8 MHz. La se al es recibida directamente por una TV con un servidor SAT>IP integrado, que informa a los dispositivos clientes SAT>IP sobre los servicios y secuencias disponibles. Mediante aplicaciones de dispositivos SAT>IP compatibles, el usuario puede seleccionar un servicio, que se retransmite mediante conexi n WiFi al dispositivo port til para su visualizaci n.
Otras actividades del rea m s all de la retransmisi n son ABR Multicast y DVB DASH. El primero trae la transmisi n multiemisi n a las redes IP para la difusi n en banda ancha de retransmisiones en vivo y mejorar la escalabilidad de acontecimientos populares. DVB-DASH define c mo utilizar la retransmisi n adaptativa de contenido de DVB. El trabajo actual proporciona los datos necesarios para la difusi n de contenido con funci n UHD avanzada.
Publicidad targetizada
Adem s de la retransmisi n, DVB se centra cada vez m s en servicios y difusi n de contenido h brido e interactivo. La demostraci n de publicidad dirigida se basa en la especificaci n actual HbbTV 2.0.1. Los visitantes del stand ver n dos televisores que reciben la misma se al de retransmisi n a trav s de sus adaptadores de TDT, uno de ellos conectado mediante banda ancha a un servidor que proporciona contenido de publicidad dirigida. Existir n dos tipos distintos de publicidad dirigida: el primero est dirigida a un p blico m s joven y el segundo a una generaci n mayor. Cuando tiene lugar la pausa publicitaria, se mostrar el contenido espec fico en la pantalla. El cambio de la retransmisi n a la publicidad dirigida se produce de forma fluida. Al final de la pausa publicitaria, el dispositivo volver a cambiar fluidamente al canal de retransmisi n.
