DTS Expands Play-Fi Platform Compatibility to Include iOS Devices

New App for iOS Devices Extends DTS Groundbreaking Whole-Home Wireless Audio Solutions Compatibility to Include Hundreds of Millions of Apple Devices

CALABASAS, Calif. (September 19, 2013) - DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio post processing technologies, today announced that its Play-Fi wireless audio streaming solution is now compatible with hundreds of millions of iOS devices. With the addition of iOS compatibility, DTS Play-Fi is now the first licensable whole-home audio technology capable of streaming lossless, high-quality audio from both iOS and Android devices, as well as Windows PCs, to multiple rooms, from multiple users, simultaneously using standard Wi-Fi.

Unlike single speaker wireless solutions, which only allow users to stream directly to one speaker from their mobile devices, DTS Play-Fi gives users full control of an entire network of speakers in the home. Users can set-up, link, and stream audio to one Play-Fi enabled speaker or multiple speakers throughout the home at once, perfectly synchronized and with no lag. Via the free DTS Play-Fi app for iOS, users can stream music from iTunes, access all of their existing playlists, and even stream popular music services such as Pandora.

Since Play-Fi is a true cross-platform solution, all Play-Fi enabled speakers, as well as future products from prospective Play-Fi partners, will be immediately compatible with the free iOS app, with no physical changes needed to the hardware.
