The SVG Content Security Work Group (CSWG) has released the first two recommended Best Practices for security in live broadcast production. The CSWG was founded to strengthen the processes by which sports and live entertainment content is protected throughout the life-cycle of production, distribution, and archiving.

The initial two Best Practices include controls for scanning removable drives used in production trucks and flypacks, and for setting up separate compound networks for engineering and for public use. CLICK HERE to review and download the Best Practices.

Co-chairman Scott Rothenberg, CTO of NEP, and SVG Chairman Tom Sahara, lead this Work Group with a committee of SVG members representing broadcasters, rights owners, and production service providers. These Best Practices documents are designed to provide rights owners, rights holders, and third-party vendors a clear and consistent understanding of general security expectations for network and content security in a truck compound.
