HP today announced that Adobe Illustrator CC will be available for Sprout by HP in November. Illustrator for the Sprout platform will be available from the Sprout Marketplace and via Adobe Creative Cloud.
HP also announced that it has expanded the Go Make Things campaign announced in July.
The films in the campaign demonstrate how users can take ideas and make them real, whether a creative professional or an aspiring creative Sprout enables users to go make things.
With every new application, Sprout enables creativity of beautiful artwork, said Eric Monsef, Highly Immersive Systems, HP. With Adobe Illustrator available for Sprout, artists can create when inspiration strikes.
Illustrator CC for Sprout
The powerful Illustrator toolset is used by artists and graphic designers to create vector illustrations, charts and graphs, logos, drawings, and more. Illustrator for Sprout provides a fast, more natural way to create, connecting your digital content with physical objects.
Optimizing Adobe Illustrator for Sprout by HP empowers artists, designers, and creatives, said Michael Ninness, senior director of product management, Web and Graphic Design, Adobe. With Sprout, designers can easily incorporate physical objects into their illustrations and convert them into vector art by scanning them directly into the application for instant creativity.
Sprout gives users a unique, hands-on way to interact with personal content - two touch surfaces work together to transform the desk surface into a digital-physical workspace. Designers using Illustrator for Sprout will enhance their productivity. Artists can scan and capture physical objects (in 2D or 3D) directly into the application, significantly enhancing their artwork in a matter of seconds. Designers can instantly scan in sketches and hand-drawn concepts that can be manipulated or traced to create digital artwork that is ready for production. Artwork can then be further manipulated on the Sprout mat.
Go Make Things Campaign
Go Make Things illustrates the possibilities of the Sprout blended reality ecosystem, conveyed through a thoughtful collection of human experiences and stories.
The first film in the series shows
-a protagonist who has lost her spirit to create-inspired by her daughter to keep imagination alive has been viewed more than 63 million times on social channels since being released in late July.
The new Go Make Things films are intended to inspire people to create by breaking through expectations of what's currently possible. The films and mini-documentaries are featured on the HP YouTube, Hulu and the Turn Network channels. To view the full series, visit: Go Make Things YouTube Playlist
The films in the series include: a couple that dreams up and designs a customized aquarium, an artist pieces together a mural masterpiece where she produces 3D tiles inspired by everyday items, a father and daughter dream up a mascot for their boating adventure, a musical trio uses Sprout to create merchandise and memorabilia, grandparents create a priceless and sentimental gift for their first grandchild and a pediatrician saves the day after using Sprout to design a personalized superhero cast wrap for his patient's broken arm.
