RT Software Release new Sports Analysis solution Tactic Advanced' posted: 12/06/2019

Real time 3D broadcast graphics developer RT Software has announced the fully featured launch of their Tactic Advanced' sports telestration and analysis system.

Tactic Advanced is RT Software's next generation sports graphics solution, allowing sports producers to tell compelling stories around team tactics by inserting informative graphics into clips of sporting action.

Tactic Advanced has already been available to the Sports Professional market for a year, with orders from some of the best known sports clubs and federations around the world. Now, with SDI i/o and the ability to control external replay servers, Tactic Advanced supports full broadcast workflows for highlight packages, post- or pre-match segments, and even live events.

Visitors to RT Software's booth at NAB were able to see features such as automatic keying and camera tracking, editable motion paths, composite graphic creation and the ability to change styles of graphics to match their in-house brand. The full release of Tactic Advanced adds further functionality, such as line calibration to provide metric graphics (speed, distance run etc.) and custom touchscreen interfaces for on-camera presenter control.

Mike Fredriksen, Commercial Director at RT Software, believes that Tactic Advanced is an important step forward for RT Software and their customers: Years of experience working with sports broadcasters and production companies around the world has taught us that ease and speed of use is an important part of any sports analysis system. As a result, we have made this an inherent part of Tactic Advanced's design. Initial feedback from customers trialling Tactic Advanced tells us that we have got it right .

Tactic Advanced is the first of the Tactic family of sports analysis solutions from RT Software, with other versions to follow to meet different budgets and production requirements. Mike Fredriksen added: Development work is almost completed on Tactic Pro', which will include all the features customers tell us they like about Tactic Advanced, but also more cutting-edge tools such as an editable timeline and the ability to morph between camera angles .
