Paris, 12 March 2019 - The MIPDrama Buyers' Summit will this year offer international buyers an exclusive first-look at 10 brand-new series from around the world.
The MIPDrama Buyers' Summit takes place on Sunday 7 April, ahead of MIPTV, the leading international market for content development and distribution that runs in Cannes, France, from 8-11 April 2019.
The invitation-only event is focused on new trends and upcoming series, providing an exclusive first-look at a curated selection of the 10 most anticipated international new series in production, which will be presented to 450 leading buyers and commissioning editors.
The MIPDrama Buyers' Summit will begin with an opening lunch at the Majestic Hotel, ahead of a Trends and Insights session hosted by K7 Media in the Palais des Festivals to identify the hottest and newest trends in drama content. This will be followed by the screening of exclusive 15-minute previews of 10 series in production, selected for their writing and production values, originality, and their worldwide appeal. The drama buyers' showcase will round off with a closing cocktail.
For its 4th edition the MIPDrama Buyers' Summit features an expanded line-up of 10 exciting works in production from territories as diverse as Finland, New Zealand, Ukraine and Spain offering a very attractive and exclusive showcase to the some 450 international buyers in attendance, said Laurine Garaude, Director of Television at Reed MIDEM, which organizes the event.
