V-Nova, a leading provider of compression solutions, today announced its inaugural participation in a patent pool, joining the Access Advance HEVC Patent Pool. This strategic move showcases V-Nova s commitment to fostering industry collaboration and ensuring access to some of its cutting-edge technologies.

With over 1,200 patents across advanced compression, AI-driven processing, and immersive media technologies, V-Nova is uniquely positioned as a leader and innovator in video and data compression, beyond MPEG-5 LCEVC. Participation in the HEVC Patent Pool further underscores its broad contribution to multiple technologies and ongoing influence within the global compression ecosystem.

V-Nova's technologies are designed to enhance the efficiency and performance of existing and future codecs, including HEVC. By joining the Access Advance HEVC Patent Pool, V-Nova reinforces its role as a contributor to broader codec ecosystems, promoting compatibility, efficiency, and adoption across the industry.
