Ningbo: I/E Busine Volume of Cro-border E-Businees Topped $ bln Yuan

Under the tendency of Interconnection and with the help of Internet, Ningbo foreign trade has realized its significant transformation. According to the latest statistics from Ningbo Customs, up to December 18, import-export volume of cross-border E-commerce operators in Ningbo totaled 1.03 billion dollars with import accounting for 0.44 billion dollars and export taking up 0.59 billion dollars.

It is learnt that 4 areas including Bonded Area, Lishe Bonded Logistic Center, Lishe Airport and Meishan Bonded Port Area start cross-border E-commerce pilot business. Ningbo Export Processing Zone and Cixi Export Processing Zone are preparing for import pilot business and have realized the full coverage of import & collect goods , prepare goods in bonded area and normal import . On Nov. 11, 2015, Customs received 0.715 million of import declarations declared and approved by Ningbo cross-border business platform, valuing 19.964 million dollars, inspected and released 0.348 million parcels, with year-on-year growth of 370%, 240% and 430% respectively.

Listed in the first batch of foreign trade enterprises entering e-commerce, NingboYahu Import and Export Co., Ltd deals with its large quantities of export business through cross-border electricity business model. In less than six months, we have exported 261 batches valuing 6 million dollars. Our company will issue its online sale platform Ehome-dollar and realize real-time connection with customs export cross-border platform , an official said.

Since its pilot run from May 27, 2015, value of cross-border export goods in Ningbo has increased to 80 million dollars weekly from 30 million dollars weekly in preliminary stage. 47 enterprises have participated in cross-border e-business pilot, covering B2B (apply to export goods under bulk trade), B2C (apply to retail export commodities) and other models. With Ningbo International Mail Exchange Bureau being approved, cross-border export business in small amount of LCLs(less than container load) is expected to develop rapidly.
