NexxCom Wireless, a broadband wireless equipment and systems business with technology leadership in system latency and expertise in building ultra broadband networks where latency performance is critical, announces it has partnered with London Stock Exchange plc to offer a wireless communications link between two key data centers. The technology will connect London Stock Exchange's City of London data center and the Equinix London data center campus in Slough.
Through using NexxCom Wireless' 3rd generation proprietary radio technology, latency will be greatly reduced between these key locations. Specifically engineered for ultra low latency their innovative RF technology will be used for data communications over the service, offering a total capacity of 1G for clients. The optimized path will be the fastest available and within 3% deviation of the geodesic straight line between London Stock Exchange and the Equinix London Slough campus facility. This service is scheduled to go live in November 2013.
