
UKTV has commissioned a new fourth series of Secrets of the London Underground (10x60) from Brown Bob, for its leading factual channel Yesterday and free streaming service UKTV Play, set to air later this year.
Secrets of the London Underground has quickly gained a loyal audience on Yesterday, reaching over 10.1m individuals across all series to date, and is among the top performing Yesterday titles on UKTV Play.
The new series is filming now, reuniting rail historian Tim Dunn (The Architecture The Railways Built) and Siddy Holloway from London Transport Museum, as they unearth more fascinating secrets about the Tubes rich history.
As part of her work developing the museums Hidden London programme of tours, which takes the public into secret parts of the London Underground, Siddy has the keys to many locked away places that reveal fascinating details of British social and rail history. Chris Nix, Assistant Director at London Transport Museum, will also be acting as Historical Consultant to share the fascinating stories that were unveiled from the museums archives.
Secrets of the London Underground S4 has been commissioned for UKTV by head of factual and factual entertainment Helen Nightingale, and ordered by Gerald Casey, channel director for Yesterday, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning. The series is produced by Brown Bob and the executive producer is Rob Dersley.

It will join a raft of original programming, including the recently announced new series of Find It, Fix It, Flog It, Bangers & Cash, Canal Boat Diaries and Dream Car Fixers.
UKTV recently announced its intention to launch U - a new Masterbrand that will unite its family of free-to-air channels and its free streaming service. Launching in Summer, the move will see its current streaming service UKTV Play transition to U and UKTVs family of free-to-air channels will become U&Dave, U&DRAMA, U&YESTERDAY and U&W.

Hidden London Tours are a series of in person and walking tours led by expert tour guides which provide a unique opportunity for Londoners and visitors alike to discover a wealth of fascinating facts and tales about the citys history and rediscover forgotten part of its transport network - some just feet away from unsuspecting commuters. Location explored include secret parts of Charing Cross, Piccadilly Circus, and Euston stations, as well as the WW2 tunnels of Down Street, disused station Aldwych, Baker Street and Clapham Souths deep level shelter. Locations vary from season to season, so visitors are encouraged to visit the London Transport Museum website for the latest information and to book their ticket. A two-hour walking tour of Covent Garden, Kingsway, Lincolns Inn Fields and Victoria Embankment is also available.
