95.7 That Stations first concert of 2020 turned out to be quite the hit in downtown Raleigh. The Gasoline Gypsies Drive South Tour stopped by Imurj Artists Cafe on Saturday, February 8, and the event sold out!
That Station presented the concert and with tickets at only $10, the show sold out two days in advance. That Station had been playing the bands track Freaks and Nonbelievers in anticipation of the show.
It was a great show and the bands rocked! said CBC Radio Vice President Brian Maloney, who came up with the idea for the collaboration. The room was filled with That Station listeners and its awesome to see the power of radio!
Icarus Airline opened the show, rocking out the full house.
The Gypsies also tied in with two other Capitol Broadcasting divisions while in North Carolina. The band made a stop on the tour to Wilmington at Sunrise Broadcastings 98.7 Modern Rocks Morning Alternative Birthday Bash on Friday, Feb. 7. The fun took place at the brand new Jesses Yacht Club and was also a sell out.
Previous to the concerts, the Gypsies were featured live during WRALs 9am News on FOX 50 on Thursday, Feb. 6.
That Station Music Curator Arielle Rimoldi hosted the Raleigh show at Imurj. For those who did not have tickets to the show, That Station broadcast the concert live, streaming live via the That Station app on Facebook and on the radio dial at 95.7 FM.
