PlayBox Technology names Pixsel as master distributor for East Africa

PlayBox Technology announces a major addition to its global sales and support network with the appointment of Pixsel Africa Limited as master distributor for East Africa. Based in Nairobi, the company will provide demonstration, sales, systems integration and post-sale support to new and existing PlayBox Technology customers across Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda

PlayBox Technology is highly respected throughout the broadcast world, not least in Africa where its AirBox channel-in-a-box server has long been an aspirational brand, comments Pixsel founder and Managing Director Kenny Munro. The AirBox Neo range of modules form a platform on which systems can be built to handle any scale of playout from a single channel local station up to the largest conceivable multi-channel network addressing multiple timezones and handling many languages. The AirBox Neo server has the twin advantages of being compact and very easy to maintain. Staff training can be achieved quickly thanks to the clear and logical user interface. If customers prefer a service-based CloudAir solution, or a Neo/CloudAir hybrid, we can supply and commission these equally easily. We will also be promoting CloudAir as an extremely safe and affordable solution for off-site archiving and disaster recovery centres.
