Grand Finale on a Year of High School Sports: HSOT Honors Presents Awards Virtually

Nick Stevens hosts the 2021 HighSchoolOT Honors which took place virtually on Thursday, July 22.

The 2021 HighSchoolOT Honors awards show went off without a hitch on Thursday night, July 22, on HighSchoolOT.com and the app. The program was also available on WRALs streaming channels. For the second year in a row, HighSchoolOT Honors took place virtually, but plans to move back to an in-person ceremony next year.

Awards were presented in 36 categories. It took a top-notch troop to put the presentation together.

Nick Stevens did an excellent job hosting the awards with support from his team: Kyle Morton, J. Mike Blake, Zach Adams, Joel Bryant and Jacob Hancock, said WRAL Digital Marketing Director Laura Worthington. Also, special thanks to WRAL Sports Jared Fialko for the work he did on the package for our Stuart Scott Courage Award winner.

She continued, If you dont watch the full awards show, watch Northwood rising junior Troy Ennis' story. Troy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which has spread to different parts of his body. His story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, said Nick Stevens. Even though the odds may be stacked against him, Troys outlook on life is profound.

The 2021 presentation took a team effort.
