27th October 2014 - HALF DAY INTRODUCTION TO ACES WORKSHOP

ACES explained for producers, production managers and anybody interested in finding out more about ACES and its enhancements to traditional digital and even film workflows. This workshop will cover the following topics:

What is the ACES workflow and how does it benefit my shoot?

How do I prepare for an ACES-based shoot?

Where can I save time and money with ACES?

Why use ACES as your storage and archive format?

Q & A and general discussion about ACES.

1st November - 1 DAY DIRECTORS AND DP'S WORKSHOP

Harness the power of modern cameras using ACES

DP's who attend this course will get the hands-on chance to:

Light a scene and shoot with the F55, RED Dragon and ARRI Alexa Create a look and learn how to use image processors to realize your vision and show it to your clients even on set.

Experiment with exposures and highlight preservation that each camera can offer. Bring all of the different footage you shoot into the ACES colourspace to reveal the limitations and benefits of each camera quantified within the ACES system.

See your look carried through every phase of production from shoot to offline to grade to final projection using ACES.

Learn the language of the CDL (colour decision list) and use it to maintain your looks throughout the creative process.
