EUROVISION to deliver European Parliamentary Election Results to Worldwide Audiences

The European Parliament will use EUROVISIONs WorldFeed satellite network to share results and reaction from Europe-wide parliamentary polls this Sunday night (25 May).

Between 1900 GMT and 2300 GMT, broadcasters will be able to access content produced by the European Parliament in Brussels.

This will include the first estimates on European turnout, preliminary results at European and National levels and statements from the various political groups.

Viewers will also get to experience the atmosphere from inside the Parliament; see vox pops of European citizens, and reactions from the candidates for the European Commission Presidency.

The transmission will be available in HD, free of rights and free of charge worldwide.

The deal continues the partnership between EUROVISION and the European Parliament following the EUROVISION Debate broadcast on 15 May, when the five candidates hoping to become the next European Commission President staked their claims to the EU's top job.

Guillaume Klossa, EBU Director of Public Affairs & Communications, welcomed the agreement:

"Bringing democracy in action to our audiences is at the heart of public service media," he said. "The results of these important elections will now be available to broadcasters via satellite across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Americas and Asia."
