Ross Video Welcomes Stephen Brownsill as First Audio Product Manager

Ottawa, Canada, May 28th 2021 - While Ross is best known for its video products, there is no doubt that audio is an incredibly important part of any live production workflow. Ross is therefore pleased to announce that Stephen Brownsill has joined the company, becoming the first ever Product Manager at Ross who is dedicated entirely to audio.

Brownsill began his career as an audio recording engineer, then graduated into audio post-production and eventually managed broadcast operations for Fox and Walt Disney Television in the UK. He then joined Miranda Technologies and ultimately Grass Valley, working as a Product Specialist and Solutions Architect, before joining TSL Products as Audio Product Manager in 2017. Brownsill lives in Oxford in the UK with his family and is a keen musician and qualified football/soccer coach. Having been both a vendor and a customer, Brownsill continues to be fascinated by technology and the creative processes it enables.

I'm extremely pleased to be joining Ross and breaking new ground as the company's first dedicated audio Product Manager. The company's reputation as an end-to-end solutions provider continues to grow around the world and of course audio is a highly important element of the live production environment. I think it's fantastic that Ross is increasingly its focus on this area, and I'm very much looking forward to bringing my experience and perspective to the various product roadmap discussions.

Nigel Spratling, VP of Production Switchers & Video Servers, highlights the importance of audio within customers workflows. While Stephen will be a member of the Switcher and Server group, he will be working across all of our product lines to ensure that the audio needs of our customers are consistently met in future. Developing a comprehensive roadmap for audio development is a big job, but I know Stephen is up for the challenge and we're very happy to have him onboard.
