Afidus, a Taiwan based surveillance camera company, entered the time lapse camera market in Q4 2018 and chose TimeLapseCameras.com, a Rochester based company, as North America's exclusive retailer of the Afidus ATL200 time lapse camera. The Afidus quickly became recognized as a feature packed affordable camera for long term time lapse capture and great choice for a wide variety of projects including macro content. The Afidus ATL200 will be on display in the TimeLapseCameras.com booth at the NAB Show, C12140.
As a long term capture camera for the construction industry, the Afidus has proven itself with over a month of battery (4XAA) life depending on capture rates and timer settings. Additionally, TimeLapseCameras.com was able to test the camera at -40 F during the polar vortex in January and achieved 54 days of continuous capture using lithium AA batteries.
The Afidus shines in the dedicated time lapse camera segment by offering a feature set reserved for more expensive camera systems. 1080HD with in-camera HDR, optical zoom, app control, a motion sensor, IP65 weather resistant, MP4 capture and timer with day-of-week schedule.
Image Alignment allows a user to match views after removing and replacing the camera. This functionality is very unique and makes seamless time lapse capture easy. These features and more make it a very capable for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

In February, the TimeLapseCameras.com team decided exhibit at their first trade show, the NAB
(National Association of Broadcasters) Show. The NAB Show states, This is the ultimate event for media, entertainment and technology professionals looking for new and innovative ways to create, manage, deliver and monetize content on any platform. NAB runs April 7-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and TimeLapseCameras.com occupies Central Hall booth C12140.
On March 25th, TimeLapseCameras.com was notified they had been selected as a nominee for Product of the Year at NAB. This places the Afidus as one of 30 finalists in the Camera/Capture category.

TimeLapseCameras.com was founded in late 2016 by two professional photographers, Josh Banks and Marie Ferguson. Banks, a veteran in the time lapse business, previously worked with another long term camera manufacturer. In 2017 Josh left them to work full time on the TimeLapseCameras.com, a website focused on customer care and project success. Ferguson came on board focusing on graphic design, content creation and post production editing. Afidus has been a leader in the surveillance industry over the past decade during the evolution from analog to digital.
