Rohde & Schwarz Australia, in partnership with L3Harris, will provide system design services for the integration of the latest generation of voice-over-IP VHF air traffic control (ATC) radios, the R&S Series5200, for Airservices Australia's ATC network.
The R&S Series5200 provides excellent RF performance and IP based architecture for todays and tomorrow's ATC communications, for both VHF and UHF frequency bands, said Marius M nstermann, Vice President Market Segment ATC at Rohde & Schwarz. The innovative security-by-design architecture will enable a seamless transition to new IP networks.
Rohde & Schwarz Australia is undertaking the initial planning and design phase for the modernization of the VHF network with its latest remote control and monitoring system. It will also plan for a radio frequency interference monitoring and investigation capability.

Our specialist full spectrum radio frequency skills and experience as an innovative communications system integrator are being utilized to design a replacement solution for the 750 Rohde & Schwarz radios that have ably served the customer for over 15 years.
For more than three decades, Rohde & Schwarz Australia has designed and delivered highly secure and reliable mission-critical communications capabilities for air navigation service and Defence users within the region.
The R&S Series5200 radio is part of CERTIUM, advanced ATC communications suite. CERTIUM RADIOS are the perfect match for CERTIUM VCS and CERTIUM MANAGEMENT.
