Industry veteran and former Akamai and EMC executive to lead Edgeware's Board of Directors

Stockholm - Sept. 4, 2013 - Edgeware, the technology leader in distributed video delivery, today announces Michael A. Ruffolo as the new chairman of its board of directors.

Ruffolo, who most recently served as the president and chief executive officer for Crossbeam Systems, Inc. has more than 28 years of industry experience. This includes extensive knowledge and experience from high-tech companies in sales and marketing focused on content provider, service provider and enterprise customers. Additionally, Ruffolo has served as a board member for a number of global companies, further increasing the value of his role on Edgeware's board.

Prior to joining Edgeware's board, Ruffolo held the position of chief executive officer and president at Crossbeam Systems, Inc., chairman and chief executive officer of Liquid Machines, Inc., executive vice president and chief operating officer at Akamai Technologies, executive vice president of global sales, services and marketing at EMC Corporation and vice president and chief information officer at the NCR Corporation. Ruffolo received a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Dayton and has a post-graduate education in advanced management from the European Institute of International Business in Fontainebleau, France.
