Cisco and USGA Announce Multiyear Partnership Extension

Cisco and the USGA have announced a multiyear extension of their partnership, which began in 2018. Cisco serves as the Official Technology Partner of the USGA, supporting year-round operations and championships including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open Presented by Ally.

This year's championships - at Riviera Country Club (U.S. Women's Open) and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (U.S. Open) - will feature Cisco Wi-Fi 7 access points and switching architecture for connectivity across more than 240,000 expected fans, media, and operators per championship week; Cisco networking and security solutions covering broadcast, scoring, and on-site operations; Meraki cameras for crowd flow monitoring; and Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform dashboards for real-time network monitoring and analytics.

Near-term collaboration includes an AI-powered rules assistant to help golfers access the official rules of golf, with Cisco AI Defense providing security for the underlying AI infrastructure.

The partnership also encompasses workforce development initiatives including Cisco's support of the USGA's Pathways Internship Program and deployment of Networking Academy Dream Teams at key championship events. Cisco's golf investments also include partnerships with the Advocates Professional Golf Association Tour, Stephen Curry's UNDERRATED Golf Tour, the APGA Cisco Invitational, and the APGA Billy Horschel Invitational presented by Cisco.
