BRW FILMLAND Los Angeles signs diverse director/creative director Andrew Gura for U.S. commercial representation. With a background spanning roles as director, creative director, producer, writer, photographer and editor, Gura is well-positioned to craft hybrid campaigns that encompass video content, still photography and experiential. Gura leverages his experience as a photographer and visual artist to deliver visually rich narrative to branded work for the likes of Scion, BMW, Levi's, 4mm Games and Def Jam, among others. His creative direction and still photography has been featured on album covers for JDilla, Saul Williams and for singer/songwriter Charlie Winston's platinum-selling sophomore record Running Still.

After living out his teenage hip hop obsession by hanging out with NWA in Compton, Andrew Gura studied literature at UCLA. Looking to explore more within the music realm, he took an internship at the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal records, where he discovered filmmaking. He got his industry start in post production, learning hands-on alongside top industry talent and developing his distinctive visual style and was soon commissioned to craft visuals for DJ Cut Chemist and DJ Shadow's legendary Brainfreeze and Product Placement tours. He quickly made the transition to music videos, signing with Partizan Entertainment and directing stylized music videos and music-driven video content for the likes of Saul Williams, Charlie Winston, Nas, Snoop, Kelly Rowland, Wyclef Jean, and Fool's Gold.

While earning his MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts, he shot a branded docu-style short ontheDL for Scion, which follows the story of The Roots drummer Ahmir Thompson's quest to get his driver's license at age 32. The film screened in over 20 festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival and won a silver plaque for documentary at the Chicago International Film Festival.
