Nasty C to perform at America's Essence Festival 2019

It has been quite a life-changing week for Nasty C. A couple of days after the Durban-born rapper revealed his long kept secret, it was revealed that he is set to perform at the Essence Festival.

As reported by Slikour OnLife, Nasty C, together with his label mate and long-time friend, Tellaman, have been slated to perform at one of America's biggest music events.

The only experience of the festival most of us have ever had was probably through the screening of Girl's Trip. However, for the two South African musicians, it's another bar added to their greatness' meters.

When is Essence Festival 2019? Nasty will join the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Genuwine and Rakim at the Super Lounges stage of the festival. The main stage will also see the likes of Missy Elliott, Nas Mary J Blige headlining the event.

The festival will run from Thursday, 4 July, until Sunday, 7 July. in New Orleans.

Davido and Amanda Black are the other African acts that will bless the stage alongside Nasty.

Another big step for Nasty C The news could not have come at a better time for the Durban-born rapper. A couple of days ago, we were applauding the rapper's courage and today, we see him asserting his position as the coolest kid in Africa with this international gig.

The rapper is not a stranger to the international stage. Earlier in the month, he'd shared footage of his performance alongside 6LACK in the United States.

Nasty is at a happy place right now. The Universe is working in his favour. We just hope that this momentum is building up to the release of another project.
