April 22, 2021 -- Today Netflix announces the premiere date and the teaser for the Swedish film Dancing Queens. The film, created by acclaimed actor and director Helena Bergstr m, will launch globally on Netflix on June 3.

The film stars Molly Nutley, Marie G ranzon, Claes Malmberg, Christopher Wollter, Rakel W rml nder, Ann Westin, Max Ulveson, Mattias Nordkvist, Razmus Nystr m, Andr Christenson, Emil Alm n, Fredrik Robertsson, Robert Fux, Louie Indriana, Dominika Peczynski and Fredrik Qui ones, who makes his acting debut and is also the choreographer of the film.

The story centers around Dylan Pettersson (Molly Nutley), a 23 year old girl from a small island in the Bohusl n archipelago with big dancing aspirations. When she's talked into cleaning at the struggling drag club Queens, the club's star dancer and choreographer (Fredrik Qui ones) accidentally discovers Dylans talent. She desperately wants to be a part of the show, but shes a girl - and its a drag show. However, where theres a will, there's a way.

Dancing Queens is directed by Helena Bergstr m who's also the scriptwriter together with Denize Karabuda. Joana Sorobetea at Sweetwater Productions is the producer of the film with Colin Nutley and Mikael Bergkvist as executive producers. DOP is Peter Mokrosinski. The costumes are created by Swedish fashion designer Camilla Thulin and Norwegian Gaute Storaas is composing the music.
