Mr Gay World returns to Cape Town, South Africa for a celebration of love and LGBTQIA Pride with two exciting new events from 28 May to 3 June 2023.

The 15th annual Mr Gay World contest will see delegates from around the globe arriving in the Mother City to compete for the coveted title through a series of physical and mental challenges.

The winner will be crowned at a spectacular Grand Finale ceremony.

For the first time, Mr Gay World will also host a Human Rights and Mental Health Conference and the inaugural Mr Gay World Pride.
The 2023 theme is All You Need is Love in a City of Love .
Our events are an opportunity to get together and create a safe and fun environment to share our stories. This will inspire and unite us in our joint life experiences, says Eric Butter, President, and Founder of Mr Gay World.
We also come together to create a platform to celebrate the fact that we all have an important role to play in the community. We can all exert influence on justice, acceptance, and tolerance. In doing so, we can make our world a better and more colourful place, continues Butter.

The Human Rights and Mental Health Conference will take place from 29 May to 1 June. ALSO READ: Uganda passes horror bill to outlaw LGBTIQ people's existence
It will be followed by the Mr Gay World 2023, Cape Town, South Africa Grand Finale on 2 June at The Baxter Theatre, and Mr Gay World Pride on 3 June.
The headline performer is English House singer and songwriter Soraya Vivian, who's been dubbed a fierce dance diva .
She's not only a musician but is also an LGBTQIA ally, a Pride ambassador, and an HIV activist.
Vivian is best known as a singer and muse for the international dance music brand, Hedkandi.
She is sponsored by the UK's first LGBTQ alcohol spirits and clothing brand, Molly & Tommy, which is supporting the release of her Euro Pride Anthem, Colours of Love.
The Grand Finale is directed by Weslee Lauder and scripted by Wim Vorster, with staging, lighting, sound, and AV designed by Kosie Smit and supplied by Pineapple Productions.
