Rhythm and Flow: Brazil, Netflixs first Brazilian musical reality show, has just released its trailer and poster, giving a glimpse of what to expect from the competition among 18 participants that will crown a rising star in the national rap scene. Part 1, featuring four episodes, will be available on November 12. Part 2, with the final two episodes, premieres on November 19.
Rhythm and Flow: Brazil is the Brazilian version of the US show Rhythm & Flow and highlights the artistic growth of the participants throughout the competition. The winner will receive R$ 500,000 to launch their career as well as a spot on Season 5 of Sintonia.
Serving as judges are Djonga, from Belo Horizonte; Filipe Ret, from Rio de Janeiro; and sisters Tasha & Tracie, from S o Paulo. Following the same format as the US, French and Italian versions, the reality show is shot in the three judges hometowns, with a focus on the places that impacted their careers - Viaduto Santa Tereza (in Belo Horizonte), Tavares Bastos and Lapa (in Rio de Janeiro) and Cidade Tiradentes (in S o Paulo).
The show also features 20 artists from the Brazilian scene: Azzy, Bob13, Dallas, Dexter, Ebony, FBC, Iza Sabino, Jottap , Karol Conk , KL JAY, Laudz, Marcelo D2, Maru2D, MC Luanna, Negra Li, N.I.N.A, Sidoka, Vulgo FK, WIU, and Zegon. Meet the 18 participants of the competition:

Rio de Janeiro
Afrodite is an artist from Baixada Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, whose journey reflects the reality of many women from the periphery. Music entered her life as a refuge during tough times. Through slams, Afrodite began writing poetry. However, it was witnessing a young woman transform into a giant with the power of her voice during a battle that solidified the path she wanted to take. She started composing and recording her songs, capturing the attention of the audience. Today, in addition to developing her solo work, she writes for other artists and makes a living from music.

Belo Horizonte
Cafiero is originally from Belo Horizonte and spent his childhood living with his grandmother, who had a strong influence on his musical development. An uncle introduced him to rap battles, and he quickly became captivated. Back then, he would watch the battles in secret with his uncle and started writing rhymes at school. Over time, he gained the confidence to participate in competitions. His main musical style is trap, although he draws inspiration from artists across various genres. Cafiero dreams of making a living from music.

Today, he is one of the top champions in his city, making a name for himself in the battle scene.

Raised by his godparents, he lost his father and other family members at a young age. Despite his dedication to sports, art always held a special place in his heart. It was in the evangelical church that he discovered his passion for singing, and in rap battles he began to express himself more authentically.
