Philadelphia Union and Comcast Deploy Smart Technology at Subaru Park and WSFS Bank Sportsplex

Comcast Smart Solutions announces a new smart technology deployment with Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. The initiative helps transform Subaru Park and the WSFS Bank Sportsplex into a next-generation smart campus, featuring electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and AI-enabled lighting systems designed to elevate security, sustainability, and the overall fan experience.

A Seamless, Premier Experience from Parking Lot to PitchThe Philadelphia Union selected Comcast for its end-to-end capabilities, deep technical expertise, and ability to deliver cost-effective, future-ready solutions. The deployment focuses on two key areas:

Powering the Future with EV ChargingTo meet growing demand for electric vehicles, Comcast Smart Solutions installed Level 2 NovaCHARGE EV chargers at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex. The chargers operate on an open protocol (OCPP) platform with an AI-powered repair bot, enabling easy scalability and centralized performance monitoring. This system helps keep chargers ready for gameday and opens potential new revenue opportunities for the club.

Smarter Lighting to support a Safer, More Connected CampusAcross campus parking lots, more than 300 Juganu smart light fixtures were installed, including 100 with built-in AI video analytics capabilities. These fixtures do more than illuminate, they integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and offer:

CCTV capabilities for enhanced security

AI video analytics to monitor traffic, parking, and safety

Public WiFi access to keep fans connected from arrival to entry
