El host broadcaster del Mundial de Brasil 2014, Host Broadcast Service (HBS), est empleando el nuevo sistema de micr fono circundante Esfera de Sennheiser, que produce un sonido envolvente 5.1 desde un micr fono est reo compacto.
Un portavoz de HBS reconoce que para nosotros, las im genes y sonido de alta calidad van de la mano. Con Esfera podemos crear f cilmente sonido 5.1, incluso en la post-producci n. Debido a su construcci n compacta y la peque a cantidad de cableado requerido, los micr fonos Esfera ser n utilizados en una variedad de reas en los estadios que incluyen el t nel de jugadores y las afueras del estadio para capturar el ambiente de la C mara 1 con un sonido est reo 5.1 .
Un total de 36 micr fonos Esfera (SPM 8000) grabar n el sonido en los doce estadios. Mientras tanto, en el International Broadcast Centre, dos unidades de procesamiento Esfera (SPB 8000) se utilizar n para producir sonido 5.1 de las se ales est reo.
El sonido en el rea de meta ser capturado utilizando alrededor de 300 micr fonos tipo shotgun, incluyendo micr fonos de largo alcance como el MKH 8070 para lograr un registro muy preciso de las fuentes de sonido a distancia; micr fonos de ca n corto MKH 8060, as como micr fonos est reo tipo shotgun MKH 418-S. Asimismo, los micr fonos para cobertura MD 46 tambi n estar n en acci n en el borde del campo.
Un total de 24 transmisores plug-on de la serie 2000 se utilizar para los micr fonos inal mbricos tipo boom y para los micr fonos MKH 8060 montados en las spidercam.
Cada equipo de c mara tendr adem s un juego para cobertura inal mbrica (compuesto por un receptor de c mara EK 2000, un transmisor de bolsillo SK 2000, y un micr fono de solapa MKE 1), as como un micr fono cableado para reporteros MD 46. La se al de audio ser monitoreada a trav s de aud fonos HD 25 de Sennheiser.
