Generation Technologies Corporation (GTC) announced today that Agence France-Presse (AFP) has selected GTC to be one of their premium North American content distribution partners for television news syndication. AFP will use GTC's flagship service, NIMxchange, to distribute breaking news video content from around the world directly to television newsrooms across the US.

NIMxchange's high speed conversions between PAL and NTSC content, extended cloud coverage over Europe, and ability to private-brand AFP content, uniquely positions us to deliver this prestigious and ground breaking news service , says David Cunningham, President of GTC.

AFP video content is available on NIMxchange effective today, giving US newsrooms unprecedented access to international breaking news, gathered from a video production network of over 90 units operating around the world. Since NIMxchange normalizes all European PAL standard content to the US NTSC standard, US television news producers and editors will experience AFP content as if it were shot by one of their own camera crews.
