Johannesburg Pride is due to be held on Saturday 26 October. This much awaited Lesbian Gay Bisexual Intersex Asexual Queer (LGBTIAQ) event will be held at Sandton Sports Club in Sandton.

Lovers+ will support Johannesburg Pride as a Diamond sponsor for the next three years (2013-2015) .We recognise the Pride Festival as a platform for the promotion of health and communication of human rights issues affecting LGBTIAQ in Southern Africa, and Population Services International (PSI) is therefore proud to support this meaningful event with one of our best known, regional brandssaid Ghairunisa Galeta regarding the sponsorship.

The 24th annual LGBTIAQ Johannesburg Pride is organised by the Johannesburg Pride Planning Committee, represents the holistic interests of all (LGBTIAQ) groups and individuals as well as all those Significant Others, Friends, Family and Acquaintances (SOFFA) in solidarity to the cause. It equally represents the Straight sexual orientation interests of the bisexual, transgender and intersex components - thus inclusive of all.

This years theme Going back to our Roots is both celebratory in nature but equally an avenue to raise the challenges still faced within the LGBTIAQ community. Challenges firmly supported through the diamond sponsorship of Lovers+, said Johannesburg Prides Kaye Alley. This years Pride will address homophobia and transphobia, hate crimes and corrective rape, noting that those challenges are not exhaustive.
