Canon held in 2017, thirty years after the launch of its EOS system The Canon EOS system made its debut in March 1987 with the launch of the EOS 650 SLR camera and various EF lenses. Thirty years later, this technology is present in 24 cameras and about a hundred EF lenses.

In March 2017, Canon will celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the launch of its EOS System, consisting of all interchangeable lens cameras EOS Series and a wide range of accessories, starting with EF interchangeable lenses.
